These notes and operational updates on data from the DKASC, Alice Springs and Yulara Solar System should be taken into consideration when analysing the data. They represent significant or interesting events that potentially impact the performance of systems installed at these sites. It is not an exhaustive list of every minor or short-term network or minor system outage. However, please contact us regarding any relevant other data issues.

Site 34 Winaico Outage
The Site 34 PV Array (Winaico) was offline from the 9th March until the 26th March. The cause was a tripping AC circuit breakers. These were reset and the array is now functioning normally.

Site #33 REC Array Outage
Site #33 REC went offline ~ 24TH March 2021. Inverter is currently shutdown. The cause of the issue and solution TBD.

Data Outage
A network issue has caused an outage of all data at the solar center as of 27/1/2021. This issue is was rectified on the 17/02/2021 and data is availble from the 10/02/2021. However the data lost between 27/02/2021 and 10/02/2021 cannot be recovered.

Wind Data
The original weather station wind sensor failed on 21/10/ 2016, and wind data has been lacking from data files since then. To compensate for this absence, wind direction and speed data from a local weather station has been upload in its place up until 27/1/21.
Wind data from this date onwards can be obtained from the NT Solar Resource section.

Data Outage
The main DKASC network switch was replaced today. This resulted in a data outage from 10:20 to 11:00 whilst the replacement and reconfiguration of the switch occurred.

Data Outage
On 24/06/2020 at around 09:20 the DKASC and the wider area experienced a general power outage. This caused a failure of the local area network and a loss of data from the DKASC to occur. The network was returned to normal operation on 26/06/2020 at~ 17:00.

Site 28 Closed
Site 28, First Solar PV array has been removed from the DKASC and returned to the manufacturing for testing. This site is now available for a new technology.

Data outage
The DKASC is experiencing a network issue that started on the 5th April 2020 and is effecting data from system at sites 23-39. The cause of this issue is being determined and rectification works are underway.
Update: Full data outage occurred at DKASC from ~ 14:00 14/04/2020 to 17:00 15/04/2020 due to testing and remediation works. This has now been rectified, but the system at sites 23-39 remain offline pending the replacement of a network switch.
Update (17/04/2020): All systems are back on line.

Weather Station - Fault
The weather station at the DKASC developed a significant fault around 6th March 2020 and many of the weather data parameters are not currently correct. Troubleshooting and rectification works will be completed a.s.a.p. and once corrected further notification will be provided.
Update (10/03/2020). A power supply issue for the sensors was identified and corrected.

Site 28 First Solar - Array String Outage
Please note from the 25-05-2019 to 20-12-2019, only 87.5% of the total capacity of the Site 28 array has been available for generation. Any data users should adjust the downloaded data for this system for this period accordingly.
In between the 20th and 25th May 2017 the First Solar array at Site 28 experienced an outage. It has been recently recognised that at this time, one of the eight array strings for this array was de-energized when an array fuse failed. This morning (20th December 2019) at ~ 9 a.m. this problem was rectified.
